When my cousins asked me to photograph their daughter's Christening Celebration, I was honored. Sweet little Caroline was the perfect model in her Christening Gown made from her Mother's Wedding Gown. It was such a blessing to both personally and professionally capture an event in my family's life and I hope that they enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Emmett is growing way too fast! As I sit here catching up on my blog posts, I can't help but smile when I look at his perfectly round little head with his cute face and bright blue eyes. The perfect subject, Emmett tolerated hats, outfit changes, leaves, and bright sun. Slow down little man- you are growing too fast!

Lewis and Canaan were the lucky couple to have the honor of being my first Wedding as the Official Photographer. Canaan is my wife's sister and it was my honor to provide my services and officially welcome Lewis into the crazy family that I have been a part of for more than 5 years. Two years has passed since their Wedding Day but as I sat and reflected last night on the 8 Weddings I have booked so far for this year, I am reminded of the cold day in January where I took my first leap into fulfilling my dream of becoming a Professional Photographer. I have grown a lot since these pictures were taken and I am so glad that Lewis and Canaan allowed me the opportunity to use them as my launching pad. Happy Anniversary Hyltons! Thank you for your continued support and for being the best looking first couple :)

CT Newborn Photographer | Luca Noelle | 4 Days Old!

When close friends announced their pregnancy, I was thrilled with the news. When they asked me to photograph their newborn, I was honored. On New Years Day, my wife and I made the trek across state lines to visit four day old Luca Noelle. A beautiful little girl with intense blue eyes, soft dark hair, chubby newborn cheeks, and characteristic newborn wrinkles, Luca was the perfect subject for me to photograph and my wife to play with. 

I bring Abby to all of my newborn shoots. I need someone with soft hands and a good knowledge of what to do with little ones to help me pose, soothe, and comfort babies as I prepare for the shot and take the pictures. Women photographers can multi-task these things...men, well we can't. So for newborns, Abby and I function as a team and it is something that we both enjoy. The chance to do it for close friends, well that was an added bonus.

Take a look at some of the shots from Luca's first photo shoot. This pretty little girl is going to be a heartbreaker. Hold on Dave and Ashley- I know from experience that pretty little girls keep their mommies and daddies very busy!

CT Photographer | I Heart Faces Challenge: Let Them Be Little

This week's challenge theme on I Heart Faces is Let Them Be Little. I just did a shoot with a rambunctious and active little three year old. I ran around and chased AJ while he played, scooted, bounced, and ran. There were ten pictures or so from his shoot that would have been perfect for this contest, but the one below was a fan favorite and really captured the beauty of getting to experience AJ's world.

Michael and Ashley had a beautiful September wedding at Villa Rosa in Waterbury. The location was absolutely perfect for their small and intimate ceremony and reception. It was an honor for me to photograph this couple as they celebrated a special day a long time coming. 

Ashley was radiant, and in the first picture of Michael below, you can see in his eyes just how in love he is with his bride. The ceremony was full of laughs, happy tears, and excitement. Take a look at a few of the shots below and join me in congratulating the new couple!
